Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Craftology ("we," "us"), operated by ICVR LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By using our service, you can accept or manage cookies as described below.

This policy covers two related but distinct properties, and the cookies set on each differ:

  • Primary website — the public marketing and waitlist site at craftology.io.
  • Creative platform (Craftology Studio) — the signed-in Craftology application (the creative workspace) at studio.craftology.ai.

Section 4 lists the cookies for each property separately so you can see which apply where.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits (SDKs). We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies."

Cookies may be set by us ("first-party") or by third parties whose services we use ("third-party"). They may last only for your session ("session cookies") or persist across visits ("persistent cookies").

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary — Required for our website and platform to function, including authentication, security, and load balancing. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Functional — Remember your preferences and choices to improve your experience.
  • Analytics / performance — Help us understand how the service is used so we can improve it (for example, Google Analytics, PostHog, and Sentry). When these are set depends on the property and, for our website, your region — see Section 4.
  • Marketing — Used to measure and improve our advertising and referral programs. When these are set depends on the property and, for our website, your region — see Section 4.

Visitors in the EEA, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the UK and Switzerland: no analytics or marketing technologies load, and no analytics or marketing cookies or pixels are set, until you accept.

Visitors elsewhere: analytics and marketing technologies load by default, and you can opt out at any time; we also treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. If we cannot determine your region, we apply the first approach. Your explicit choice always takes precedence, wherever you are. We determine your region from your IP address, using our content-delivery provider (Cloudflare).

4.2 On Creative Platform (studio.craftology.ai)

Analytics and performance cookies on the platform — Google Analytics, PostHog, and Sentry — are set on an opt-in basis: they load only after you accept all cookies, and are not set if you choose essential cookies only. You can withdraw this consent at any time through your cookie settings (see Section 6).

These tables reflect the principal cookies in use and are reviewed periodically. The exact set may vary as we update the service.

5. Legal Basis and Consent

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional service. Analytics and performance cookies on the platform (Google Analytics, PostHog, and Sentry) are set only after you opt in by accepting all cookies through the cookie banner or your cookie settings; if you choose essential cookies only, they are not set. On our website, when analytics and marketing cookies are set depends on your region — see Section 4.1. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time (see below).

6. How to Manage Cookies

  • Cookie banner / preferences
    • On the Creative Platform, when you first visit, choose "Accept All" or "Accept Essential" in the cookie banner. You can review and change your choice at any time under your profile's privacy and cookie settings.
    • On the Primary Website, when you first visit:
      • Visitors in the EEA, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the UK and Switzerland: choose “Decline” or “Accept” in the cookie banner. No analytics or marketing cookies are set until you accept.
      • Visitors elsewhere: analytics and marketing cookies are active by default; choose “Opt Out” to stop them, or “Accept” to keep them.
    • You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer.
  • Browser settings — Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the service.
  • Analytics
    • On the Creative Platform, analytics and performance cookies (Google Analytics, PostHog, and Sentry) are set only if you accept all cookies; you can withdraw consent at any time in your cookie settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics site-wide using Google's browser add-on.
    • On the Primary Website, marketing & analytics cookies are either Opt-In (visitors from the EEA, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the UK and Switzerland) or Opt-Out (the rest of the world).

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our service and applicable law evolve. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date.
